Erika Solbrig is a German actress and director .

Life

Solbrig studied acting at the University of Theater and Music in Halle. After completing her studies, she worked as an actress at the Plauen-Zwickau Theater , the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin and the Rostock Volkstheater . In the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin she played in the plays Snowball , Your Friends , The Enchanted Brothers , Emil and the Detectives , Funkspruch from Kubberlitz , First Love , Robinson Shouldn't Die and The Liar . She also worked as a voice actress , radio and television. She later became a director and cabaret artist at the Leipziger Pfeffermühle . She was also a lecturer in acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music in Leipzig .

As a director she worked at the Thuringian State Theater Eisenach . Solbrig's productions were premiered at the Berlin Festival . Today she works as a lecturer and director at the Academy for Performing Arts in Ulm and the Ulm Chamber Opera . Her productions include: Bastien and Bastienne , The Maid as Mistress , Papageno plays the Magic Flute , Friederike , My Sister and I and The Abduction from the Seraglio . The Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Flensburg put Solbrig's performance Die Csárdásfürstin on the program.
