Erika Strobl

Erika Strobl (born April 4, 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian guitarist . She lives in Osaka , Japan .

Erika Strobl received her concert diploma at the Vienna Conservatory . In 1987 she won the 2nd prize at the Tokyo International Guitar Competition . Erika Strobl performs regularly in Asia and Europe with various ensembles and orchestras, including the Brno Radio Symphony Orchestra (world premiere by T. Svetes Requiemin, Prague) and the Austrian Cecilia Ensemble (Wiener Konzerthaus). She organized the Traunstein summer courses for guitar and founded the Melker master courses (guitar, mandolin, piano). Together with Kazufumi Matsunaga she forms the duo Pino Eterna .
