Career

Pukka, who started for the Lahden Hiihtoseura club from Lahti , first appeared internationally at the Four Hills Tournament 1964/65 . He surprised after a rather disappointing 39th place in Oberstdorf by winning the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In Innsbruck he missed his second podium in fourth. After he didn't start in Bischofshofen , he ended up in seventh place in the tour's overall standings. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1966 he reached 59th place in the individual from the normal hill. After a two-year break from touring, he returned to the Four Hills Tournament in 1966/67 , but could no longer build on the successes of 1964/65. The best place was a 27th place in Oberstdorf. In the end he finished 42nd overall.
