The alder swamp in Gerloh near Idstein is a nature reserve near Idstein in the Rheingau-Taunus district .

The nature reserve is located south of Idstein in the source area of ​​the Wörsbach . It is 11.9  hectares and is mainly owned by the city of Idstein. The purpose of the nature reserve is to secure, maintain and develop the biotope diversity of the forest and grassland communities that accompany the quellbach, in particular the bird cherry-alder-ash forest and the hedgehog meadowsweet riverbank as a habitat for rare, sometimes threatened animal and plant species . Extensive grazing and natural forest management should promote this goal.
