Erling Kaas
Erling Kaas (born August 19, 1915 in Oslo , † June 17, 1996 in Copenhagen ) was a Norwegian pole vaulter .
At the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 1946 and at the 1948 Olympic Games in London, he came fourth. In 1950 he was fifth at the Euro 1950 in Brussels, and in 1952 he finished 16th at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .
Eight times he was Norwegian champion (1939, 1946-1952). He set his personal best of 4.31 m on July 4, 1948 in Oslo .
