Ernest N. Hutchinson

Ernest Neville Hutchinson (born July 21, 1864 in Milford , Otsego County , New York , † January 30, 1938 in Seattle ) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ) and from 1932 Secretary of State of Washington State .

Life

Ernest N. Hutchinson's parents were John Wallace Hutchinson and Victoria, b. Neville. He went west and became a bus driver in South Dakota and a ranch worker in Texas . Hutchinson graduated from the University of Chicago and became a veterinarian . In 1894 he married Bessie Burbaker from Berlin . His political life began when President Grover Cleveland made him San Francisco Meat Inspector . He went north and started the Federal Inspection Service in King County . He also led projects in the Works Progress Administration (WPA). Ernest Hutchinson died during his second term.
