Ernest Webb ( Ernest James "Ernie" Webb ; born April 25, 1874 in the London Borough of Hackney , † February 24, 1937 in Toronto , Canada ) was a British walker .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he won over 3500 m walking and in the ten-mile track walking the silver medal behind his compatriot George Larner .

In 1912 he won another silver medal in the 10,000-meter walk behind the Canadian George Goulding at the Olympic Games in Stockholm .

From 1908 to 19010 he was three times in a row British champion in seven-mile track walking, in 1909 and 1910 also in two-mile track walking.
