Ernest William "Ernie" Adams (born April 3, 1922 in Willesden , † September 28, 2009 in Hertford ) was an English football player .

Career

The short winger joined Preston North End in early 1945 and moved on to Fulham FC in March 1947 . In September 1947 he joined the Queens Park Rangers , for which he came to two missions in the late phase when he won the third division championship of the 1947/48 season . In the following season in the Second Division he came to three more missions, in 1952 he left QPR. Adams played from then on in non-league football , initially three years for Betteshanger Colliery Welfare and then one season each for Ashford Town , Dover FC and Margate FC , all clubs in the Kent League . From 1958 he continued his career with Clacton Town in the Southern League .
