Ernst-Georg Niemann

Ernst-Georg Niemann (born May 19, 1928 in Hameln ; † July 1, 2012 in Garbsen ) was a German biophysicist .

Life

Niemann passed the Abitur examination in 1946 and then studied general physics at the Technical University of Hanover . Afterwards he was a doctoral student at the Institute for General Botany until 1960. In 1969 he received his habilitation . From 1970 until his retirement in 1992 he was deputy head of the Institute for Biophysics, and from 1985 to 1992 also head of the Lower Saxony Institute for Radioecology .
