Ernst-Ulrich Große
Ernst-Ulrich Große (born August 28, 1938 in Geiserthal ; † August 26, 2008 ) was a German Romance studies scholar, linguist, literary scholar and cultural scientist.
life and work
Große graduated from high school in Bremen and studied Romance languages and geography at the University of Freiburg . He received his doctorate in 1967 with the text Sympathie der Natur. History of a Topos (Munich 1968) and completed his habilitation in 1976 as an academic senior counselor in Freiburg with the work Text and Communication. A linguistic introduction to the functions of texts (Stuttgart 1976). From 1979 to 2003 he was Professor of Romance Linguistics at the University of Freiburg.
