Ernst Alois von Meisrimmel (born February 10, 1786 in Oettingen ; † January 1, 1853 ) was a royal Württemberg major general .

Life

Ernst Alois von Meisrimmel began his military career in 1802 and became a second lieutenant in 1805. For Major he mounted after several promotions 1814th

He was involved in military operations in 1805, 1806/07, 1809, 1812, 1813, 1814 and 1815. In 1836 he became the commander of the 8th Infantry Regiment.

In 1814 he received the gold medal of honor for the battle of Brienne, in 1815 another award. He received the golden service badge for officers in Württemberg and became a Knight of the Legion of Honor in France . He was also a fourth class knight of the Russian Order of St. Vladimir . In 1830 he was given an annual endowment of 300 guilders.

Meisrimmel was raised to the hereditary nobility. His sons Emil (* 1818) and Carl (* 1820) entered Austrian military service.

Ernst Alois von Meisrimmel is buried in the Uff churchyard in Bad Cannstatt ; the grave is preserved.
