Ernst Essel (born January 5, 1911 in Vienna ; † September 14, 1984 there ) was an Austrian actor on stage and television.

Live and act

Essel attended the drama academy and made his stage debut at the theater in the Josefstadt in his hometown in the 1930s . The Viennese started his post-war career in Leoben. He then went to Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and again Vienna (from 1958 the Löwinger stage ). Essel also took part in radio plays and, from 1966, worked intensively in television plays for almost a decade, including numerous Löwinger stage productions.
