Ernst Hecker (factory)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ernst Hecker was a metal and lacquered goods factory in the Saxon city of Aue .

history

The factory was founded in 1886 by the locksmith Ernst Hecker and manufactured metal goods for household use. After Ernst Hecker died in 1914, there was a merger with the Aktien-Gesellschaft Reinstrom & Pilz , which had branches in Schwarzenberg and Bockau . This created a wider range. In 1907, the son-in-law Wilhelm Schreiber took over the production, the company name was now Ernst Hecker. Aktiengesellschaft Metallwarenfabrik Aue / Saxony .

The products have three different logos - the simple letter combination EH in a triangle, the letters E H A framed by a long oval and a stork in a triangle with the letters EH.

In the 1920s the factory employed 600 workers.

In the Nazi period , especially during the Second World War , the factory had modern manufacture products, for example, there is a air raid - medicine cabinet (metal case) (Reference 5-39 / 41).

In 1941, the factory issued aggregate fractional shares (a total of 500,000 RM , the number of shares being unknown) in order to further increase its capital.

In a book ( Dismantling in the Soviet Occupation Zone ) it is stated that dismantling took place in 1945, which means that the Soviet occupying forces confiscated the machines and products as reparations . A later start of production did not take place.

Products (selection)

An advertisement from 1926 (on the cover of the street directory) states precisely that the metal goods were made of copper , brass and tin . Selected products were:
