Ernst Klein (resistance fighter)
Ernst Klein (born February 14, 1900 , † January 18, 1964 in Düsseldorf ) was an independent master carpenter and a resistance fighter against the Nazi regime . After World War II, he was the first master craftsman of the Düsseldorf craft guild.
Resistance in Düsseldorf
In April 1945 he took part in an action by the citizens of Düsseldorf to surrender the city to the advancing American forces without a fight. (See the main article, Aktion Rheinland .)
Honors
Ernst Klein has a grave of honor in the Stoffeler cemetery in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk .
