Ernst Kozlicek (born January 21, 1931 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian national soccer player .

Career

Ernst Kozlicek began his career in 1949 at Meidlinger Klub SC Wacker Vienna, to which his younger brother Paul Kozlicek later joined. In team line-ups he was mostly listed as "Kozlicek I" to distinguish it from his brother Paul, who was listed as "Kozlicek II".

The brothers were also able to take part in the 1958 World Cup , after having had good experiences with Alfred and Robert Körner in Switzerland in 1954. In Sweden, the group opponents with the eventual world champions Brazil, European champions Soviet Union and England proved to be too strong. In 1959, the two Kozlicek brothers moved from SC Wacker Wien, which was in financial difficulties, to LASK Linz , where the two were to part ways in 1962. While Paul Kozlicek stayed in Linz, Ernst Kozlicek went to the 1st Schwechater SC .
