Ernst Ludwig (Company)

The Ernst Ludwig company manufactured lenses in Lausa, Saxony (since 1999 urban area of ​​Dresden).

These are mostly inexpensive entry-level lenses that were below the competition ( Carl Zeiss , Jena, or Meyer-Optik , Görlitz). From 1972 Ernst Ludwig was part of the VEB Kamerafabrik Freital , which was merged into the VEB Pentacon combine in 1980 .

Ludwig lenses were sold under the following brand names:
