Ernst Stöckl (Manager)

Ernst Georg Stöckl (born April 9, 1944 in Sulzburg ) is a German manager .

Career

After successfully completing a degree in business administration in 1970, Stöckl initially worked in Pretoria, South Africa, from 1971 to 1974 as assistant to the board of the Daimler-Benz subsidiary UCDD. From 1974 to 1977 he chose his next professional sphere of activity at the Munich Electrolysis-Poligrat-Gesellschaft as a representative for investment management. Then he was a consultant for investment management at the headquarters of Daimler-Benz.

In 1980 he returned to South Africa, where he has since held a position on the management board of the UCDD. In 1986 he took on the role of Consejero Delegado and Presidente del Comité de Dirección at Mercedes-Benz España . From 1988 he was responsible for the restructuring of the Daimler subsidiary Freightliner Corp. and its subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Truck Comp.

From 1991 until the dissolution of AEG in 1996, he was Heinz Dürr's successor as its chairman. He was also a member of the Board of Management of Daimler-Benz AG from 1991 to September 20, 1996 .
