Ernst Wüllenweber

Ernst Wüllenweber (* 1953 in Linnich ) is a German special and remedial teacher . He has an extraordinary professorship at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .

Life

Ernst Wüllenweber first studied social education at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and then special education at the Carl von Ossietzki University in Oldenburg . After many years of practical work in various areas of the disabled , he obtained his doctorate in 1999 at the University of Oldenburg with the study: Crises and Disability. Development of a practice-related theory and an action plan for crises in people with intellectual disabilities. In 2005 he completed his habilitation at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg with the study:Social conflicts as an educational problem. A study on curative education in facilities for the disabled. As a private lecturer with the Venia legendi for rehabilitation education, he initially worked in Magdeburg and from 2010 at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Until the summer semester of 2018, he was an adjunct professor for education for the mentally handicapped . In addition, he works as a freelancer in further and advanced training, advice, supervision and lectures in the entire German-speaking area.

Ernst Wüllenweber has fundamentally dealt with the topics of crisis intervention , de-escalation and dealing with behavioral and mental disorders in the areas of intellectual disabilities , learning disabilities and autism . To this end, he carried out several research projects and developed the crisis intervention and de-escalation program Ki-Pro / DeE-Pro, which he was able to successfully implement in facilities for the disabled. In addition, he has researched and published on the subject of changes in the group of people. This is about the admission of socially disadvantaged and mostly only slightly mentally impaired people in facilities for the disabled. A third major topic of his work is communication, relationship building and conversation in the context of disabilities.
