Ernst Warlitz
Ernst Warlitz (born November 18, 1880 in the Erzgebirge , † unknown) was a German humorist and author.
Life
Warlitz soon left home and settled in Leipzig , later in Guben . There he wrote several books, some of which he published himself as Kleine Ernst Warlitz books . Darb is one of them. Sounds of home from the Saxon Ore Mountains . He was also active as a humorous lecturer and wrote several entertaining novels in the style of the time. As the publisher of the market and stock exchange newspaper Horse and Buyer , he achieved national importance. Before that, he had already published the magazine Die Mockingbird in 1920/21 , of which Fred Endrikat was one of the editors .
In 1935 his book Sun! The big book of smiling, laughing and seriousness , Leipzig 1928, on the list of harmful and undesirable literature and was burned and banned.
