Ernst Wichert (painter)
Ernst Wichert (born January 20, 1885 in Berlin ; † April 22, 1953 there ) was a German painter and graphic artist .
Act
Wichert was a student of Woldemar Friedrich and Georg Koch at the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
In addition to study tours, which he undertook through Austria and Yugoslavia, Italy, Dalmatia, France and Spain, he spent 1911-1914 with other Berlin and Düsseldorf painters like Adolf Lins , Hugo Mühlig , Walter Courtois, Walter Hoeck, Emil Beithan and Hans Bremer in Hessian Malerwinkel Röllshausen in the Schwalm .
Wichert experienced the First World War as a soldier at the front. After that he lived and worked in Berlin. During the time of National Socialism he directed exhibitions of the NS-Kulturbund .
