Ernst von Bevern

Ernst Freiherr von Bevern (* in the 17th century; † in the 17th century) was canon in Münster .

Life

Ernst von Bevern came from the Westphalian noble family von Bevern , who came from the ministerial nobility and had their headquarters in Ostbevern and Westbevern in the Münsterland . The West Bevern line died out in the male line in the 14th century , while the East Bevern branch continued and was still one of the most important noble families in Westphalia in the 17th century. He was the son of Baron Johann Gottfried von Bevern zu Devesburg and Lette (1629–1665, treasurer of the Electorate of Cologne and Councilor of the High Prince-Münster) and his wife Maria Katharina Odilia de Wendt zu Holtfeld . His brother Sigismund was married to Anna Wilhelmina von und zu Landsberg and was court marshal of the Electoral Palatinate. Chamberlain and bailiff of Bergheim and Landsberg. Maximilian , his other brother, was a canon in Münster.

Act

Ernst was Domscholaster in Osnabrück and received after the abandonment of his brother Maximilian in 1695 a Münstersche Dompräbende he remained in their possession until October 26, 1699 when he renounced for the attention of the Pope on his benefice. The sources do not provide any information about his further life.
