The hardship allowances Regulation ( EZulV ) governs the granting of allowances to cover particular, when assessing the office or in the regulation of candidate references unrecognized difficulties (hardship allowances) for recipients of salaries and trainee salary, the federal government. A hardship allowance compensates for the effort associated with the hardship. It basically applies to federal civil servants and soldiers .

Difficulties to be settled individually
Allowance for service at inconvenient times
Recipients of salaries in grades with ascending salaries and recipients of prospective salaries receive an allowance for service at inconvenient times if they are used for service at inconvenient times for more than five hours in the calendar month. The allowance for work on Sundays and public holidays, on the Saturdays before Easter and Pentecost after 12 noon and on December 24 and 31 every year after 12 noon, if these days do not fall on a Sunday, is 5.44 euros per hour , on the remaining Saturdays between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 1.29 euros per hour and otherwise between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 2.56 euros per hour.
Diving allowance
For exercises or work in the water in diving suits without helmets or without diving equipment, with helmets or diving equipment, as well as trainers for submarine rescue at the Marine Damage Defense Training Center in first-time use and in pressure chambers, an hourly allowance is paid according to diving depth.
Allowances for handling ammunition and explosives
Soldiers with a certificate of authorization to destroy ammunition or who have completed training as fireworkers and officials with a certificate of competence F receive if they clear or destroy duds (ammunition) at military training or firing ranges, at sea, at test sites of the Bundeswehr or in accordance with official instructions at other locations , an allowance of 4.67 to 9.40 euros per day.
Explosives defusers receive an allowance of 35.78 euros per use in the immediate danger area, explosives detectors of 21.48 euros per use.
Allowance for aerial work
Civil servants and soldiers receive a tiered allowance per day for work on antennas or antenna supports if these activities are part of their regular duties.
Other individually settled difficulties
Civil servants and soldiers who take part in an outdoor climate test under extreme cold or heat conditions receive an allowance of 2.87 to 3.58 euros per day. Soldiers in the negative pressure chamber service at the Aviation Medical Institute of the Air Force who are used at a simulated altitude of at least 5,000 m receive an allowance of 9.36 euros per hour, provided there is no entitlement to the flight allowance. Civil servants and soldiers of the fire brigade service of the Bundeswehr receive an allowance of 11.75 euros per hour for practical training in fire brigade training houses or comparable systems in which fire incidents are simulated under real conditions. They receive an allowance of 1.50 euros per hour for practical training in rescue from heights and depths. Officials in their control or investigative activities feces examined manually or with feces or body fluids contaminated persons or objects, receive an allowance of 11.10 euros for each day on which they are carried out, but no more than 111 euros a month.
Allowance for service at changing times
Civil servants and soldiers receive a monthly allowance if they are called on for duty at different times and if they work at least 5 hours in the calendar month between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. (night hours). The allowance is made up of a basic amount of EUR 2.40 per hour of night work, but a maximum of EUR 108 per month, an increase of EUR 1 for each hour worked between midnight and 6 a.m. and an additional monthly amount of EUR 20 for civil servants and soldiers, who are called upon to serve at least three times in the calendar month, mainly on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
