Ertuğrul Ergezen (born July 20, 1978 in Posot ) is a former Turkish heavyweight boxer .

Career

Ertuğrul Ergezen won a bronze medal at the 2003 Olympic qualifying tournament "Green Hill" in Pakistan . In 2004 he started at the European Championships in Pula , defeating Costas Philippou, Cyprus, Marat Towmasijan, Armenia, and David Dolan, England, before he left without a fight in the semifinals due to a shoulder injury and thus won a bronze medal. His next opponent would have been Wiktar Sujeu , Belarus.

He was thus also qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , but was unable to compete in his duel against Wilmer Vásquez, Venezuela, due to a rib injury suffered in the training camp and was eliminated without a fight.

In 2005 he played four successful professional fights in Germany and Austria.
