Advanced concrete technology training

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The expanded concrete technology training in Germany is an additional professional qualification , which is aimed primarily at engineers and technicians in the construction industry , as well as building material testers . For work in certain professional positions (z. B. Managerial Personnel of mixed concrete plants and concrete testing) this additional training is a requirement. Graduates receive proof of advanced knowledge of concrete technology , often referred to as an e-certificate for short .

Training and content

The advanced concrete technology training is usually carried out as part of a course lasting several weeks in recognized training centers. The entire training is carried out by the Concrete Training Advisory Board at the German Concrete and Construction Technology Association e. V. established in Berlin. In addition to theoretical training, the content of which is taught in the centers, it also requires proof of practical experience in concrete production and processing, e.g. B. must be acquired as part of a professional activity. The theoretical part of the training is of some German universities in collaboration with relevant training centers during the regular lectures of Civil Engineering provides, so that the students after graduation only need to gain practical experience. In addition, the course fees of the training centers are partially or completely waived.

The courses for acquiring advanced knowledge of concrete technology deal with the legal basics ( standards and guidelines), requirements for concrete structures, concrete compositions and production, as well as concrete and mortar processing on the construction site, testing and additional requirements for special components or manufacturing processes ( heavy concrete , Exposed concrete , etc.). The contents thus go beyond or deepen the subject areas normally taught in vocational training or studies.

qualification

The acquisition of advanced concrete technological knowledge is a basic requirement, especially for managers in the concrete manufacturing, processing and testing industries. Only holders of an e-license are entitled to manage a concrete testing center. In addition, the production of ready-mixed concrete according to DIN EN 206-1 and DIN 1045-2, the installation of concrete with higher strength (C30 / 37 and higher), or concretes of monitoring classes 2 and 3 and the production of precast concrete parts must be carried out by a specialist a completed, expanded concrete technology training. Accordingly, the acquisition of an e-license is indispensable for plant managers and site managers on larger construction sites.
