Erwin Erdmann (born October 5, 1942 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the highest East German football class. He played there for Dynamo Dresden and Motor Zwickau . With Zwickau he won the GDR Cup in 1967 .

Erdmann moved in 1960 from the BSG unit Auerbach to the GDR league club Dynamo Dresden. After the Dresdner were promoted to the GDR Oberliga in 1962, Erdmann played his first league league game on November 25, 1962, the 13th matchday of the 1962/63 season in the encounter between Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt - Dynamo Dresden (2-0) . He was used in place of the regular left defender Gerhard Prautzsch . On the 14th and 18th game day Erdmann came to two more league missions, in which he played in midfield and in attack. At the end of the season, Dresden rose again to the GDR league . Erdmann then returned to Einheit Auerbach for two years.

At the beginning of the 1965/66 season Erdmann was in the squad of the Oberliga team of Motor Zwickau. He initially played the first four point games as a center or winger. After several games break, he completed the 11th and later the last three season games in the league, most recently again in defense or midfield. The 1966/67 season was Erdmann's most successful league season. He fought for a regular place in the motor eleven with 21 of 26 possible point game stakes, where he was usually used as a central defender. On April 30, 1967, he was with Motor Zwickau in the final of the GDR soccer cup. The Zwickau won the trophy with Erdmann on the left side of defense with a 3-0 win over Hansa Rostock. The 1967/68 season brought several failures for Erdmann again, so that he could only compete twelve times in the league. However, he played in September and October 1967 the two European Cup games of the Zwickau against Torpedo Moscow (0-0, 0-1). In the summer of 1968 he completed on August 17 and 24, the first two game days of the season, his last two league games, in which he was used in the right midfield.

At the end of his career in the GDR league, Erdmann, a machinist by trade, was almost 26 years old. Nothing is known about his further résumé.
