Erwin Glock

Erwin Glock (born April 9, 1925 in Heidelberg ; † June 29, 1993 in Heidelberg) was a German marksman , 34-time German champion and participant in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and 1976 in Montreal .

Life

Glock worked as a sports teacher at the Johannes Kepler secondary school in Heidelberg. He was a member of the 1490 Heidelberg rifle club. At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Glock was the oldest marksman and, after dressage rider Josef Neckermann, the second oldest participant in the German team. In 1976 in Montreal, at the age of 51, he was the oldest German athlete.

Glock also wrote books about sport shooting and developed a target that can be used for training purposes.
