Erwin Hornek

Erwin Hornek (born May 14, 1959 in Kautzen , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the ÖVP .

biography

After completing compulsory school, Erwin Hornek learned the profession of farmer at the Edelhof technical school near Zwettl , which he has been practicing since 1980.

Hornek was a member of the local council from 1985 to 1990 and from 1990 to March 2010 mayor of the market town of Kautzen. From 1989 to 2011 he was parish party chairman in Kautzen and from 2000 to 2012 district party chairman of the ÖVP Waidhofen an der Thaya . From 1999 to 2013 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Erwin Hornek is divorced and has one son.

Erwin Hornek was in the XXIII. Legislative period active in the following committees:

  • Deputy Head of the Environment Committee
  • Member of the Research, Innovation and Technology Committee, Internal Affairs Committee, Court of Auditors, Environment and Science Committees, and the Standing Subcommittee of the Court of Auditors Committee
  • Substitute member in the committee for consumer protection, committee for agriculture and forestry, committee for economy and industry, as well as in the family committee
