Erwin Kneihsl's photographic works are almost exclusively analog and black and white. In addition, the quality of the development process and the choice of material are exceptionally high. Another typical feature of Kneihsl's work is the hand-cut gray cardboard onto which he mounts the photographs with a stapler. So it happens that despite the natural ability of the medium of photography to be reproduced, Kneihsl's works are unique due to the hand prints, the assembly and the artist's framing.

Erwin Kneihsl is editor of the magazine Beauty und Vernunft - magazine for photo theory .

He is currently represented by the Guido W. Baudach Gallery in Berlin and SVIT in Prague.
