Erwin Tintner

Erwin Tintner (born December 26, 1885 ; died November 15, 1957 in Vienna ) was an Austrian graphic artist, children's book illustrator and comic artist.

In the 1920s he drew comics for the children's magazine Schmetterling . He designed book covers for Rikola Verlag , z. B. for Gustav Meyrink's series of novels and books of magic , and illustrated children's books, including Haugg's fairy tales as well as Franz Karl Ginzkey's Hatschi Bratschi's balloon (1922) and Florian's miraculous journey over wallpaper (1930).

Tintner worked as an assistant in Joseph Binder's graphic studio in Vienna, which existed from 1924 to 1938.
