Johannes Erwini

Johannes Erwini (* 15th century in Ratingen ; † October 20, 1518 ) was vicar general in Cologne .

Erwini, born in Ratingen, became pastor at St. Maria in Cologne-Pesch in 1472 and at St. Maria Ablass in 1485 . Since 1501 rector of the University of Cologne and Cologne canon , he represented the vicar general in 1504 and 1508 until he was finally appointed vicar general himself on April 6, 1511. As such he acted under the Archbishops of Cologne, Philip II of Daun and Hermann V. von Wied . From 1485 Erwini was also a canon at St. Ursula (Cologne) .
