Esmé Lammers

Esmé Lammers (born June 9, 1958 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is a Dutch writer and film director .

The granddaughter of world chess champion Max Euwe first studied biology in her hometown and turned to art in 1989. Her work Long Live the Queen , which was inspired by her grandfather, was released in 1995 as both a film and a book. Hans Kuyper redesigned the script for Tom & Thomas from 2002 to become a book for young people.

She also wrote scripts for the television series Wet & Waan , Baantjer , Kleine daden, grote gevolgen and Flodder . She last directed Amazones in 2004.

Your films have received several awards. For example, she received the Cinekid Film Award in 1995 and the Montgomery Prize in 1996 for Long Live the Queen . Tom & Thomas was awarded at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and Amazones was nominated for the 2005 Emden Film Award.
