The Esromsee ( Danish: Esrum sø ) is the second largest lake in Denmark after the Arresø and is located in the Hovedstaden region on the island of Zealand .
The area of the lake is 17 km², the water depth reaches a maximum of 22 m. There are 8.4 km between the southern and northern tip. The Gribskov Forest stretches out on its west bank and Fredensborg Palace is on the east bank .
