history
Putty was developed in 2005 by Stefan Kaczmarek. In 2007 he won a Taste Award from the Anuga food fair . After the fair, Kaczmarek received an offer from Dr. Oetker for sales, but instead decided to sell the product itself through the newly founded company 123 Nahrungsmittel GmbH . Production is done by Ruf Lebensmittelwerke .
There is widespread media coverage nationally through various television programs, including on ZDF and ProSieben . In 2008, Stefan Kaczmarek was awarded the Hessian Founder's Prize in the category of intelligent business ideas for the product and the associated company formation . At the end of 2008, a cooperation with McDonald’s started to publicize the product. In October, the edible dough landed in first place in the sales ranking of idee + spiel .
In 2009, plasticine was introduced under the name Yummy Dough in the USA and Canada and has also been marketed in Asia since 2010. Putty was chosen as number 1 in the top 5 bizarre snacks at VOX . Since May 2012, Edible Dough has been listed on SUBSPORT (Substitution Support Portal) as an example of successful substitution of hazardous substances in products.
preparation
Kneaded dough is sold as a baking mix that is kneaded into a smooth dough after adding water .
