The Estádio Durival Britto e Silva , often just short of Vila Capanema after the district , is a football stadium in Curitiba , the capital of the Brazilian state of Paraná . It holds 20,083 spectators and is named after the businessman Durival Britto e Silva . The stadium is mainly used by the Paraná Clube association.

history

The first game in the arena was played by Fluminense Rio de Janeiro and the Clube Atlético Ferroviário , one of the predecessors of today's Paraná Clube, on January 23, 1947. Fluminense won 5-1. The stadium was also one of the venues for the football World Cup in 1950 and was the venue for the games Spain - USA and Paraguay - Sweden .

The stadium reached its highest number of spectators so far on September 8, 1968 at the game Athletico Paranaense - FC Santos . At that time, 24,303 people came to the game, which Atlético won 3-2.

Britânia SC and Colorado EC , both clubs that no longer exist but are significant in Paraná's football history, have also used the stadium.
