Wolfgang Baake (born December 6, 1950 ) is a German theologian and journalist .

Life

Wolfgang Baakenhafen spent ten years as an industrial clerk in the Volkswagen AG (Kassel), before he 1976-1980 theology in today's Protestant University Tabor in Marburg studied. From 1980 to 1982 he worked as a pastor in the preparatory service for seven congregations in what was then the Schlachtensee Community Association (today: German Community Diakonie Association ) in Berlin . After his 2nd theological exam in June 1982, he completed a short traineeship of almost a year in the Tagesschau - und Tagesthemen - editorial office of the NDR in Hamburg .

From July 1982 to December 2013, Baake was managing director of the Christian Media Association KEP . From 1987 to December 2013 he was director of the Christian Media Academy . Since 1993 he has been responsible for the press and public relations work of ProChrist and other major Christian events, so he was also the press spokesman for the Marburg Congress for Psychotherapy and Pastoral Care . He is a member of the jury of the “Financial Forum Forward Thinking”, which awards the Vordenker Prize.

From 1999 onwards, Baake was a volunteer and from 2014 until his retirement in 2016 full-time commissioner of the German Evangelical Alliance at the headquarters of the German Bundestag and the federal government .

Private

Baake is married and has four children.
