Atlético CP

The Estádio da Tapadinha is a football stadium in the municipality of Alcântara in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon . It was built in 1945 and is the home of the former first division football team Atlético CP . It is located on the northern bridgehead of the Ponte 25 de Abril .

history

Even before the stadium was built, the Campo da Tapadinha was used as a football field. Three years after the merger of União Lisbon and Carcavelinhos FC to form Atlético CP, the field was converted into a stadium. For the time, a lawn was created as a playing field. It was opened on September 23, 1945 with a friendly against Sporting , which the guests won 6-0.
