The Carcavelinhos Football Club was a football club from the Alcântara district of the Portuguese capital Lisbon .
history
The association was founded in 1912. In June 1928, Carcavelinhos defeated city rivals Sporting 3-1 in the national championship final, which was held in Lisbon's Campo de Palhavã , and secured the title of Campeonato de Portugal . In the 1934/35 season, the club was once again in the semi-finals of the competition.
Before the introduction of the unified national league, the Primeira Divisão in 1938, Carcavelinhos took part in the trial seasons of the Campeonato da Liga three times . After founding the Primeira Divisão, the club played two more seasons ( 1939/40 and 1941/42 ) first class.
On September 18, 1942, he joined forces with the neighboring club União Foot-Ball Lisboa to form Atlético CP .
