Games of the Cape Verdean national football team

The Estádio da Várzea is a football stadium in Praia on the Cape Verde island of Santiago . It is currently mainly used for soccer games. The stadium offers 8,000 spectators on two grandstands on the long sides.

Several teams from Praia, including the first division clubs Sporting Praia , Boavista Praia and CD Travadores , play their home games here as well as the Cape Verdean national football team . Since the opening of the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde with 15,000 seats in 2014, the games of the national team have mainly been played there.
