The Estadi Municipal de Badalona ( German  Municipal Stadium of Badalona ) is a football stadium in the Barrio Montigalà of the Spanish industrial city of Badalona , Autonomous Community of Catalonia . It is the home ground of the football clubs CF Badalona (men) and CE Seagull Badalona (women).

history

In late March 2011, the city approved the construction of a new stadium to replace the 1936 Camp del Centenari . However, it was not until 2015 that work began. After 19 months of construction, the new municipal stadium was inaugurated on January 25, 2017 by the Councilor for Sport, Maria Gallardo, and the President of CF Badalona, ​​Miguel Ángel Sánchez. The facility, which was built around 2.5 kilometers from the old stadium, offers 4,170 seats and cost 7,183,708.53 million euros . The first game took place on the open day on January 29th, as part of the Segunda División B game . CF Badalona met Espanyol Barcelona B and won 1-0. The stadium is designed so that it can be easily expanded if necessary. There are 14 rows of seats on the main tier. The three other grandstands are equipped with five rows of open-air seats. The plastic seats are in different shades of blue. The 105 × 68 m playing field consists of modern artificial turf . The main stand is covered by a cantilevered roof. In and on the stands are u. a. the changing rooms (two large rooms, three for groups and two for the referees), the press area, offices, meeting rooms, five VIP - boxes , the catering area and wheelchair-accessible seats.
