The Estadio Pedro Escartín is a football stadium in the Spanish city of Guadalajara . The stadium has a capacity of around 8,000 spectators and is the home of the CD Guadalajara football club .
history
The Estadio Pedro Escartín was opened on September 17, 1967 as Campo del Henares with a friendly between CD Guadalajara and Real Ávila . On April 1, 1970, the stadium was named after the former player, referee, national coach and journalist Pedro Escartín . In 1974 a floodlight system was installed. Further renovations took place in 2007, when the north stand was built, and in 2011, when the audience capacity was expanded to 8,000.
