Esther Ralston
Esther Ralston (born September 17, 1902 in Bar Harbor , Maine , † January 14, 1994 in Ventura , California ) was an American actress who celebrated her success during the silent film era .
Life
She began acting as a child when she appeared in the vaudeville theater in The Ralston Family with Baby Esther, America's Youngest Juliet . Then she came to a few smaller silent film roles before she made her breakthrough in 1924 with the film Peter Pan . She mostly starred in comedies.
She appeared in many films for Paramount in the 1920s and received up to $ 8,000 a week. With the end of the silent movie era, her career came to an end, and she was mostly used in B-movies . She ended her career in 1941 and starred in several television series in the 1960s.
Ralston was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
