The Estrada de Ferro Trombetas is a private Brazilian railway line in the state of Pará . It has a total length of 35 km and a track width of 1 meter.
The railway line is used exclusively for freight traffic and does not transport passengers. It connects the bauxite mine of the Serra do Saracã with the port of Porto Trombetas in Oriximiná .
The line is operated by Empresa Mineração Rio do Norte SA , which belongs to the Vale Group (formerly: Companhia Vale do Rio Doce CVRD ).
