Eszter Várady

Eszter Várady (full Hungarian name: Kovátsné Várady Eszter) (born May 10, 1953 in Esztergom ) is a Hungarian writer .

She writes detective novels , novels , short stories and short stories . So far, most of her works have appeared under pseudonyms (for example Peter East, Peter Eastborough, Esther G. Wood or Tom Higgins). In many cases, however, she gives an indication of her true identity by mentioning her real name as "translator" of the book from English or as co- editor .

Together with authors such as István Nemere and Magda Szabó , she is one of the best known and most popular contemporary writers in Hungary. Regardless of this, her works have not yet appeared outside of Hungary. In the near future, this will be done piece by piece in cooperation with the Bonn Steinke Institute (an institute for language , education and culture dedicated to the writer Udo Steinke ) and his Steinke Journal, which has accepted Eszter Várady's application in Germany , be changed.
