history

The roots of ETAVIS go back to Mayer Elektro Anlagen AG in Volketswil . This was taken over in 1987 by what was then the BBC (now ABB ). As a result, the company acquired various regional electrical installation companies in the 1990s , including Grossenbacher Installations AG , anchored in eastern Switzerland , which was merged with Mayer Elektro Anlagen to form ABB Installations AG in 1998 . Other regional electrical installation companies were acquired.

In 2004, the ABB building technology division was sold to the management and the Swiss private equity company Capvis and renamed ETAVIS . ABB initially retained a 10 percent stake as a minority shareholder. ETAVIS has acquired other companies to date.

In 2007 Vinci Energies , a subsidiary of the French Vinci Group , took over 95 percent of all shares in ETAVIS AG. Management and executives will retain a 5 percent stake in ETAVIS. The growth strategy was continued.
