Eternal Tango was an alternative rock band from Dudelange in Luxembourg , founded in 2002 , which disbanded in 2012.

history

Eternal Tango was founded in 2002 in Dudelange . In 2004 they released their first CD, which was a collaboration with the band Spyglass and was voted demo of the month by the German music magazine Visions .

In November 2006, Eternal Tango took part in the international Battle of the Bands contest and won it.

On November 24, 2006, Eternal Tango won the final of the Printemps de Bourges in Esch an der Alzette in the Rockhal .

The first album, First Round at the Sissi Café , was released in early April 2007. In the course of 2007 she took part in the Printemps de Bourges as well as many international and national concerts.

At the Elie Music Award 2007 , the first Luxembourg music award, Eternal Tango were nominated four times. In addition to the audience award for the best live performance , they were able to take home an “Elie” in the Best Rock & Pop category .

In November 2007, Eternal Tango released the single Narya, Narya ... So Glad You Found Your Way and the video clip to go with the single was released. The Luxembourger Mandy Graff, well-known from Germany's Next Top Model, took part in the clip .

In the same month, Eternal Tango won the Battle of the Bands Contest for the second time .

In December 2007 the band released their debut album First Round at the Sissi Café in Germany on the record label AL PIPER MUSIC .

The album Welcome to the Golden City followed in February 2010 , which was recorded and produced by Markus Schlichterle (including Madsen , Notwist , July ). The album was then mastered by Ted Jensen from the very renowned Sterling Sound Studio in New York.

The 5 musicians released their latest record on their own label "Golden Fox Records".

Their first single, The Golden City , took second place on MTV Rockzone and stayed in the top ten charts in Luxembourg for 11 weeks on Eldoradio.lu and RTL.lu.

3 more singles followed (Da / Da, Oh! No, Ronny Roy Johnson), which also reached top positions in the Luxembourg charts.

At the beginning of 2011 the band started work on a new long player. The recordings were scheduled for late summer 2011, but the album was no longer released.

At the end of 2012, Eternal Tango announced their dissolution. On December 22nd, 2012 they played their last concert in the Atelier in Luxembourg.
