Ethan Devinatz

Ethan Sander Devinatz is an American mathematician who studies algebraic topology.

Devinatz received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Franklin Paul Peterson in 1985 ( A Nilpotence Theorem in Stable Homotopy Theory ). He is a professor at the University of Washington . In 1992 he became a Sloan Research Fellow .

Devinatz is known for his contribution with Michael J. Hopkins and Jeffrey H. Smith in proving part of the Ravenel Conjecture.
