Etsuko Shihomi ( Japanese 志 穂 美 悦子 Shihomi Etsuko , real name: Etsuko Nagabuchi ( 長 渕 悦子 ); born on October 29, 1955 in Okayama Prefecture as Etsuko Shiomi ( 塩 見 悦子 )) is a Japanese actress and singer .

Life

Etsuko Shihomi was born in Okayama. She began her acting career in 1973 in several films with Sonny Chiba and Hiroyuki Sanada . In total, Etsuko Shihomi starred in more than forty films and TV series. In 1975 she was seen in a supporting role as a telephone operator in the disaster film Panic on the Tokyo Express . Larger roles followed, including in 1983 as Keno in The Legend of the Eight Samurai .

From 1975 to 1984 Etsuko Shihomi worked as a singer in addition to acting and released three albums, the last of which ( Three Dimension ) came out on CD two years after its release and after Shihomi's career as a singer had ended in 1985.

In 1986 Shihomi met the actor and singer Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi during the filming of Otoko wa Tsurai yo : Shiawase no Aoi Tori , whom she married the following year. In the same year she ended her career after fourteen years. Their daughter Ayana Nagabuchi (* 1988) is also active as an actress, their sons Wataru and Ren (* 1994) as a racing driver and rapper. Etsuko Shihomi is involved in charity projects and has published several books for charity.
