Euaesthetus is a genus of beetles from the family of the ruffles (Staphylinidae) within the subfamily Euaesthetinae . It occurs in Europe with six types, three are also native to Central Europe.

The beetles have on the wing covers a seam tape and her throat plate bears on the top dimples.

Occurrence and way of life

The animals live under reeds and moss on wet meadows, ponds and in swamps.
