Life

Balthasar, about whose school education nothing has been passed on, was a relative of Abbot Martin Feiden from Ediger . He made his profession on September 29, 1658 in the Benedictine Abbey of St. Matthias in Trier and since the end of March 1666 he has probably held the office of master chef . In the period from 1672 to 1677 he was active several times as a representative of the abbot in matters of administration in Villmar . Here Balthazar sub Celle Raren under the assistant pastor and cellarer Anton Mesenich allocated from Villmar. At a monastery Visitation his administration, however, was poorly assessed and Matthias Cerdo told: "That he recently secretly fled with a large sum of money and as apostate to a customs officer wife (cum uxore thelonearia) Duchy of Württemberg . Went" The last note from the record of the Villmar monastery rights over him date from 1677, according to which he should be included in the list of monks .
