Eudo Zouche

Eudo Zouche (also Eudo II. Or Eon Zouche ; * 1298 , † April 27, 1326 in Paris ) was an English nobleman.

He came from the Zouche family and was the eldest son of William Zouche, 1st Baron Zouche of Haryngworth and Maud Lovel. Around 1317 he married Joan, daughter and heiress of Sir William Inge and Margarey Inge. His father-in-law was Chief Justice of the King's Bench and his mother-in-law was a daughter and co-heir of Henry Grapinel of Essex . This allowed Joan and his wife to inherit an inheritance after the death of William Inge in 1322, which included estates in eight counties from Essex to Hampshire . In the same year Eudo fought as a follower of Hugh le Despenser in the battle of Boroughbridge . In February 1326, however, he became involved in a feud between his cousins ​​in Leicestershire against their neighbors, in which the judge Roger Beler was murdered. Eudo Zouche fled to Paris, where he died. He was buried in the Augustinian Hermit Church in Paris.
